Literature Text

A country's flags bearing the colors of truth,
mourning a loss of life and innocent youth.
Stained by the most vile of cruelties unthinkable,
to be so viciously bruised in ways so unspeakable.
Folding Lilies and Irises over a hearts bitter lament,
as a world cries for the loss of those too early sent.
To have awakened an honor and love felt deep within,
a fellowship of support in the wake of this bloody sin.
All of you, remember this here and remember this well,
for all of the struggling and those who wish liberty fell.
Red is for a passion of life's ultimate beauty,
White is for hope in the most darkest of days,
Blue is for courage and strength to pursue on,
I embody Love, I embody Life flying so high,
I am France, and I will never die.
In the wake of all of the suffering and fear going on in the France. I cried when I found out the news and I cried while writing this. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone if anyone takes offense to this, I just wanted to show my support. If someone can take strength from this then I've done what I set out to do

This is beautiful. And take that "I don't want anyone to get offended" disclaimer out of your description. A poem about your country is not offensive, not when it's this good. Anyone who'd be offended by seeing someone else happy is the kind of loser tumblr is infested with. This is DeviantArt, not tumblr. France is a beautiful country, and it does not deserve any of the awful things that have happened to it recently. When people are too afraid to show any national pride, or any pride at all, when people are too afraid to even smile in public for fear of offending someone, you know everything every country had ever fought for is lost.
